Annual General Meeting

The AGM is held as part of our Annual Conference each year.   The date is confirmed for March 22, 2017 from 10:30 - 11:45 am. There will be a session immediately preceeding the AGM proper (from 9am - 10:15am) where specifc questions/concerns can be addressed.  If you have questions regarding report information, financial reporting and/or budget or bylaws and standards revisions (as they are being presented), please plan to attend the Discussion session. This will hopefully keep the AGM proper down to a manageable time slot. Location is Gull Lake Centre, Gull Lake, Lacombe, AB.

At the AGM, we present reports from each of the committees, from the President and the ED. As well we receive and approve the Audited Financial statements, approve a Budget for the fiscal year (presented by the treasurer and pre-approved by the BoD), approve any updates to the Bylaws and the Accreditation Standards  and elect new BoD members as required.

An invitation to the AGM and the discussion session (from 9-10:30am) is extended to staff and volunteers from all member camps and to individual members. Non-members are welcome to attend and participate, but do not have a vote. 

Proposed Bylaw and Standards updates are published 1 month in advance of the AGM, so all members can have the opportunity to review and invite discussion in advance of the meeting.

Currently there is a call for nominations for new Board members.

In 2017 we will be filling one current vacancies and 2 retiring Bd member positions.

In addition we will be endorsing the Board role of an individual who joined the BoD in October 2016, filling a vacancy.
